I really have some awesome co-workers. Like, really awesome. None of those weirdos that you see on cheesy sitcoms...although we do have an office pooper, and please let the record show (office pooper) that I know exactly who you are, I'm on to your game, and if your streak (pun intended) continues through Christmas, I'm buying you a plunger and some air freshener. Seriously.
Ok, but other than the office pooper, my co-workers are pretty awesome. I've touched on that a couple times throughout the last 70 days (most notably yesterday), and I'm about to do it again.
Because Day 71 was my first day back in the anchor chair in nearly two weeks...and us weekend warriors? We're a tight-knit group that doesn't like to be separated all that often. I'd find out just how close we were....on Day 71.
Because Brad came in LONG before his shift ever even started because he couldn't wait to catch up and hear about my trip. Kristin called me from Rochester (in between games), because two hours was too long to wait for one of our gossip sessions. Jabsie-Poo spent a half hour hiding from producers in a feed room so we could catch up...And Pete? Well, he missed us weekenders so much, he brought in rice krispy treats, and died them purple (which just so happens to be my favorite color).
What a great welcome back to the office...and what great friends :)
I love them all, and am blessed to have co-workers that are so much more than cubicle mates...but friends...
And I am so thankful for that :)
